11 years after

You would think I had it all figured out with that smile on my face, my colleagues and I took those pictures December 31, 2014, my last day at work after resigning as Head of Finance & Admin at a Security Consulting firm in Maryland, Lagos, South-West Nigeria.

I didn't know what next but I had this confidence, the confidence that God will lead and direct me on next steps; prior to that, it took me months to take the tough decision of leaving paid employment, you won't blame me na, I did not have an alternative source of income neither did I have any millions of naira stashed in an account, the only money I had was my december salary and a little savings in one of my dormant accounts.

11 years after paid employment...
11 years after working with great people and organisations...
11 years after maturing in matters of the workplace...
11 years surmounted challenges...
11 years after regular pay...

I left everything and walked into the unknown,, today I've got my acts together because Godled me to an inborn talent that had always been there.
It is funny how we do not place much value on the skills and talents that were freely given to us, it is funny how we have a skill that comes naturally to us yet insist on choosing someone else skill over it.
Now I understand when Pastor Sam Adeyemi said 'God never leaves you with without something'. I can say without a doubt that you have something, something that you were born with that no one can take away from you, something that you can do and thrive in, you have a talent; you don't need to look far, it's right there at your finger tips, just pay attention!

I'm glad I found mine, or rather I'm glad I paid attention and I saw the obvious...
